In the past, 3D printers were not nearly as simple yet versatile as they are today. That was until companies like RIZE brought some simplicity into the field. While the prices of these printers still keep them from being accessible to the everyday user, it’s still amazing to see the technology that can be utilized by the companies that can afford it

"The original idea of this machine [RIZE ONE] was to create a full color platform and we designed it as such, so we left enough expansion within the printer to be able to expand it to a full color capability," said Andy Kalambi, President and CEO of RIZE.
The Boston-based 3D printing company just unveiled their new XRIZE printer. This printer will allow users to produce products in the full CMYK color spectrum:
• Cyan
• Magenta
• Yellow
• Black
Through a patented process called Augmented Deposition, users will be able to print in a range of over 810,000 colors
This new technology by RIZE is so impactful because of how difficult it is to take printing from 2D to 3D. In 3D printing, the color must be moved across all three dimensions and placed uniformly.
Users will also be able to use RIZE CONNECT technology that makes it easy to manage printers from any location to improve efficiency, especially for companies using multiple printers.

“We are seeing that increasing trend, so one of our customers has six machines now and is building up a print farm kind of facility,” Kalambi said.
The XRIZE printer is set to be released sometime next year with a price of 55,000 USD.
